I have been a Salon Owner/Manager for over 8 years and while I have had success it always seems like 1 step forwards and 2 steps back.

Wow No More Lifting and Carrying my stuff into my clients homes!

Having spent over 15 years as a mobile beauty therapist I have built up a significant client base. When I started my business it was fantastic as I was my own boss and worked my own hours and I loved every minute of meeting a variety of clients each day.

However over the years of lifting and carrying my equipment in and out of clients homes I feel most of the time it is me that needs a treatment (back massage) not my clients. The hassle of this can play heavy on your mind especially if its raining!!

Additionally the increased time it was taking me to set up and carry out treatments in my clients homes was not profitable at all really as it would usually take me upto twice as long to perform a simple treatment like leg waxing (as I have to wait for the heater to heat etc..) than if I was in a traditional salon. That said I did not want to open my own salon as I know how expensive that can be too.

I then came across Salon On Wheels and met up with the owner, Stuart Bonser who showed me the demonstrator vehicle and explained in detail how I could continue to be mobile but have the high street salon experience for my clients right on their doorstep and equally no more lifting and carrying my stuff into my clients homes.

My main concern was whether I would actually be able to drive a van havin been used to a small car but after a test drive and a few manouveres I soon got the hang of it.

I believe this has transformed the way I now work as a mobile therpaist and the support I receive from Stuart is helping me to now grow my business into a profitable one.

I would recommend anyone who is currently working mobile to book on one the demonstrator days and see for yourself how much easier it is to work this way.
